The Battle to Defeat OBBBA Isn't Over

Please call these Reps—even if you’re not in their district. All the offices let me leave voicemails anyway. If you get a menu, press the option for constituents, and clarify in your message that you’re a concerned citizen. Every staffer I spoke with was fine with it.

In addition to encouraging a No vote, emphasize how drastic the bill is, and that at the very least it requires more time to let people read it and decide. It's too important of a bill to rush through.

TOP PRIORITY (High Impact Swing & Publicly Concerned)
  • 🔹 Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (PA‑1) – Vocal support of clean energy credits; highly visible in national debates.
  • 🔹 Rep. Juan Ciscomani (AZ‑6) – Publicly opposed Medicaid cuts; represents a tight swing district w/ high media attention.
  • 🔹 Rep. David Valadao (CA‑22) – Strong advocate for Medicaid protections; represents high-benefit district & is under pressure.

HIGH LEVERAGE (Moderate Profile)
  • 🔹 Rep. Andrew Garbarino (NY) – Concerned about Medicaid & green energy cuts; less in national spotlight but still critical in swing territory.
  • 🔹 Don Bacon (NE) – Joined effort opposing Medicaid cuts; moderate w/ pitched district dynamics.
  • 🔹 Nick LaLota (NY) – Vocal on healthcare protection; district vulnerable & GOP lines fragile.

WATCH LIST (Potential Defectors / Tactical Pressure Points)
  • 🔹 Andy Harris (MD) – Voted Present; shows hesitancy—could be pushed fully into a No.
  • 🔹 Thomas Massie (KY) – Fiscal hawk who already said no; praise & reinforcement can help model dissent. (202) 225-3465
  • 🔹 Warren Davidson (OH) – Same as above—already opposed; supportive reinforcement helps. (202) 225-6205
  • 🔹 Chip Roy (TX) – Freedom Caucus leader; earlier objections signal volatility—high leverage if rallied.
  • 🔹 Ralph Norman (SC) – Joined right-wing Fiscal holdouts—pressure may keep him from falling in line.
  • 🔹 Josh Brecheen (OK) – Freedom Caucus member; attention could amplify dissent.
SCRIPT
Use this Script and adjust as needed depending on the particular area of concern of the representative.
"Hi, my name is [Your Name], and I’m calling as a concerned American.

I know the pressure must be intense right now. But we see you. And we need you to hold the line.

This bill is moving too fast. It’s massive, it’s sweeping, and Americans haven’t had time to read it or respond.

From what we can tell, 90% of Americans wind up worse off from this bill - even those not on medicaid will face soaring healthcare costs, closing hospitals and nursing homes, and a deficit whose interest payments will not exceed that of the military budget. This is red flag for the economy and future of our nation.

These are not partisan issues. These are American issues. Human issues.

Please — if nothing else — stand for transparency and due process.

Delay the vote. Don’t let this pass before the 4th of July.

You don’t have to oppose every part of the bill — but you can oppose a rushed reconciliation process for a bill that changed the fundamental functions of the government and how it serves the people.

History will remember who stood for democracy when it was most under threat.

Thank you for you service."
